Our Sprockids program is one of hundreds of Sprockids programs running in over 17 countries. In our program, youth (aged 9 to 12) participate in a weekend cycling camp (June 13 & 14) and develop bicycle skills as they advance from level 1 through to level 4. Our aim is to have one boys group and one girls group during the weekend. The cost for youth to participate is $50.00. Each Group will be led by one certified Sprockids Leader and two Sprockids Assistants. These individuals are adults with years of experience as a cyclist with experience in bicycle touring, racing, or commuting. Program Highlights - Teaches four skill areas of cycling: safety and etiquette, riding (1st and 2nd Gear), and bicycle maintenance.
- Allows participants to progress in all areas at their own pace
- Trained Leaders instruct and evaluate
- Teaches life skills - goal setting, problem solving, decision making, etc.
- Develops positive philosophy - cycling and learning as life long activities
- Promotes values - respect for others, empathy, appreciation and responsibility for the environment
