Our Recreation Ride Routes
The Summerside Club is excited to offer a family bicycling opportunity for everyone. The pace is slow and the route is on the trail (15 minutes one way and 15 minutes back). All of our other activities require a paid membership. Because of our parntership with Island Trails, everyone can participate in these Monday Rec Rides at no cost. The rides leave Shipyard Market and held either east or west on the trail.
These rides provide the cyclist with an opportunity to put some km's into your legs after work and before you get home with your ten things you need to get done. It is the hope to offer a road and a trail After Work Ride. The ride starts at Shipyard Market and either heads east or west.
The Road rides will start at 4:30 p.m. and last for about 1 to 1.5 hours (depending on the weather).
Ride Leaders select route for the day.
Riders choose the route and whether on the road or on the trail. The start location is Shipyard Market. These rides will begin at 6:15 p.m.
All Saturday Rec Rides begin at 9 a.m. at Shipyard Market in Summerside. You will notice that Training Rides alternate locations and start times on the Saturday but the Recreational Rides start at the same time and location.
Riders choose the route and whether on the road or on the trail.
