2006 Endurance Rides

Cavendish - Kinkora Century Ride - 101.2 km

The Club meets at Shipyard Market. Riders travel toward Kensington and then toward Cavendish on Route 6, two hard climbs will be encountered before reaching Cavendish and turning right on Route 13 to and through Hunter River and then taking route 225 to Kinkora.

This is a recreational endurance ride with a number of difficult climbs. There are 9 re-grouping locations along the route. The purpose of these stopping locations is two-fold: one, to ensure nobody gets dropped; two, to offer riders in the front an opportunity to circle back and have a second go at that hard hill they just climbed.

Biking for Breakfast Challenge - 260 km

The first Saturday of August of every year! Join us for an incredible ride and a lifetime of memories -- from one tip of PEI to the other -- for incredible cause: children. This race will become an annual event. Departing from North Cape windmills at 700 am and arriving at East Point later (much later). This 254 km course begins with flat terrain in the western part of the island and then becomes demanding with rolling hills in central PEI. The course then flattens near the eastern part of the Island. However, the 254 km Challenge should not be entered on whim. And, depending on the direction of the wind gusts, riders may be battling wind in their face for the entire ride. The Route begins on Route 12 then travels along Route 2 until Route 2 turns into Route 16 in the east

Hill Ride

The Club will hold a number of hill rides in order to develop strength and comfort with climbling.
